Buyer

We need your feedback. Click here!

The buyer is the user buying the listed projects for personal use or professional purposes. This profile type allows you to create a merchant profile that allows you to post any product tied to your business and that is available to be sold.

As a buyer, you are not allowed to:

  • Create Projects
  • Join projects as partners

But you can

  • Acquire projects
  • Create a merchant profile
  • Create products on the platform tied to the merchant profile

Project Acquisition

Any project with the tag ‘looking for buyers’ is available to be sold. A project ready to be sold includes a list of supporting documents that will be transferred to you upon the project acquisition.

Our company offers you the service to witness the transaction between you and the user. Our team can also provide the services tied to the change of ownership of the legal documents.

What are the supporting documents?

  • Patent: A patent is a legal document granted to you. Through a patent, the government gives you, the inventor, the right to stop others from making, using or selling your invention from the day the patent is granted to a maximum of 20 years after the day on which you filed your patent application. • Copyright: Copyright is a type of IP protection provided to original literary, musical, dramatic and artistic works. A copyright owner enjoys several rights including the right to prevent others from reproducing the owner's work or copying any substantial part of it. Copyright law also applies to performers' performances, sound recordings and communication signals. Learn more
  • Trademark: A trademark is a sign or combination of signs used or proposed to be used by a person to distinguish their goods or services from those of others. Learn more
  • Personal documentation: is a documentation that you have written yourself and has not been legally certified.

Merchant profile

The merchant profile is the profile tied to your business as a buyer. The information displayed on your merchant profile are:

  • The description of your business
  • The list of members tied to your merchant profile
  • The products sold by your business

When you do not create a merchant profile on the platform, you are marked as an independent buyer. But you are still allowed to create a merchant profile later on.

However, when you create a merchant profile, you will have to delete your vos-projets account and create a new vos-projets profile to be marked as an independent buyer. This operation is destructive as any existing product tied to your merchant profile is deleted. Therefore, be certain before creating a merchant profile during your account setup.

Note that an acquired project can only be edited by the admins of the web application. If your project needs to be edited, contact us and we will provide you with the necessary assistance.

Add team members to your merchant profile

A team member is any user with the profile type ‘buyer’ that has indicated that its profile is tied to your merchant profile. You can approve that user from the list of team members in your buyer panel.

Therefore for adding a team member, you will have to indicate to the user to select your merchant profile in the suggestions displayed by the field Current Merchant of its vos-projets profile:

Note that the user must be of the profile type Buyer.

Once a user has been approved, he/she will be able to acquire projects on behalf of your merchant profile and the acquired project will appear under the profile of your merchant profile as well as his/her own profile.

Merchant products

A merchant product is a product displayed under your merchant profile and is a product that is sold by your business as a merchant.

A merchant product includes the following information:

  • The product name
  • The product price and the currency tied to the price
  • The product description
  • The payment URL of your product

The payment URL redirects the users to your payment portal.
